Another good example of American history in To Kill a Mockingbird, is the way the churches were run. The white people would go to their church every Sunday and worship much like the people do today. The real American history is in the black church. In the black church, very few of the people had the ability to read, so they didn't have any hymn books. One person would start singing a hymn and the entire church would stand up and join in, singing and clapping. The people in the black church during that time were always looking out for each other. In the book, when Tom Robinson was in jail, the black church began collecting money to help support his family while he was away. If they didn't collect enough money the first time the tray was passed around, it would keep going around till the goal was met. The film Frankenstein is based on Mary Shellys story, Frankenstein which tells the story of a man named Victor Frankenstein, a young doctor who is upset by the death of his mother during child birth, and becomes obsessed with bringing the dead back to life. Victor Frankenstein creates a creature from various body parts. Its not long before Frankenstein regrets his creatures actions. In contrast, The Hound of the Baskerville is of a completely different genre, one of mystery. The Hound of the Baskerville grabs the viewer by the throat from its opening scene; Sir Charles Baskerville lies dead on the moors of his family estate. With the look of fear on his face and the presence of animal foot prints around his corpse suggest the impossible, that a large hound, long feared by the Baskerville family is responsible for his death, as the next heir of the Baskerville family, Sir Henry Baskerville takes up residence at the family estate, legendary detective Sherlock Holmes and his trusted assistant Dr. Watson arrive to investigate the mystery. Although film makers use the same techniques they use them to make different effects as I will explain. The director of Frankenstein seems to use high key lighting throughout the whole of the beginning of the film. : High key lighting means that the picture is overall more realistic, also while Victor and the Crew Captain were talking you can see that the candle is glowing and flickering is trying to build up some sort of suspense. The director of Hound of the Baskerville seems to use lighting in a different way like in the scene where you see the corpse on the dissection table seems to be very bright I think the reason for the light being so bright while the camera is focused on the corpse is because in real life the corpse would have to be brightly lit so the dissectors can see the parts of the corpse clearly. At the beginning of Frankenstein where a women is speaking and seems to be reading out of a book, this is non-diegetic sound because if the scene was in real life you wouldnt hear her speaking because she is not there but if she was sitting there reading it out then this would be diegetic. But in Hound of the Baskerville I cannot find any non-diegetic sounds other than the background music which is used for quite a lot of the way through it. In Frankenstein there is a large amount of diegetic sound, sound that belongs in the scene. Here are a few examples of diegetic sound I found in Frankenstein; after the opening scene where the woman is speaking, you see lots of men on a ship and the sound of the waves hitting the ship and the lightning and all the crew yelling this is all diegetic sound. Later on once the ship gets stuck in the ice berg, the crew are trying to release the boat by hitting the ice with axes the sound of the axes hitting the ice is diegetic. Also another good example of diegetic sound in Frankenstein would be when the dogs are barking and then the chain snaps. In Hound of the Baskerville there are many good examples of diegetic sound my favourite one has got to be when the papers are flying out of the room when the escaped convict is on the loose, I also like the diegetic sound of when the officers are drowning in the quick-mud. I personally think that Frankenstein has better uses of sound than Hound of the Baskerville. The main ingredient in a good film has got to be good editing and I think both of these films have good editing but I personally think that Hound of the Baskerville has a lot better editing than Frankenstein. Here are some examples; in Frankenstein it is mostly straight cuts, the beginning is also very slow as the name of the film slowly gets closer and then speeds up at the end to get your attention. Similarly Hound of the Baskerville uses mainly straight cuts as well but Hound of the Baskerville uses them a lot more cleverly like for example the editor keeps making quick flashes of the body as if it is a bad memory in the doctors head, this is trying to grab your attention or in some cases scare you. The camera movements in both films are quite similar in some ways for example in Frankenstein there are lots of fast moving camera movements when the crew are on the ship and its very choppy on the sea this is similar to in Hound of the Baskerville were the prisoner is running away it was as though the camera man was running with the prisoner I think that it was a great use of camera movement. But the fast moving camera movements in Frankenstein are a bit to all over the place because you cant often see what is actually happening in that scene. Mise en scene is used to describe many different aspects of the film production like the clothing, make-up, settings and props. I think the makeup in Frankenstein was a lot better than the makeup in Hound of the Baskerville. For example when the camera zooms into the faces of the crew of the ship there faces are white and have ice on them to signify that it is really cold. But in Hound of the Baskerville the corpse is excellent the corpse is shaped as though it was scared to death and is as white as the crew in Frankenstein. In conclusion I think that Hounds of the Baskerville is better for suspense and has better editing, but Frankenstein has better Makeup. But the camera movements are better in Hounds of the Baskerville. Personally the beginning of Hounds of the Baskerville would make me continue to want to watch it.

The term teaching is commonly used to name the set of activities which someone intentionally undertakes to guide someone to learn something. The overall purpose of teaching is getting someone to truly understand what it is that is being taught. An example of teaching is my mother teaching me how to properly cook curry chicken her goal was to teach me how to cook the curry without burning it; she used to say â€Å"burnt curry ruins the pot†. Learning is the acquiring of knowledge, skills, values and behaviors by study, experience of instructions. The imparting of knowledge is known as teaching, but when the teaching is introduced in a formal setting it becomes education. Therefore, they all go hand-in-hand. Teaching should be about listening, questioning, being responsive and remembering that everyone learns differently. It is about presenting concepts to be clearly understood by all, not just facts. A good teacher should help his/her students see the connections between the facts. It should peak the interest of the learner. Often times students are asked to memorize a lot of information in order to pass a test, sounds crazy right; but it is true. Students today are more focused on only what they need to know to pass the class. The question is have they really learned anything? If the test is passed does that ensure the student has learned the material or merely just memorized it? J. S. Atherton (2011) wrote that â€Å"students are also learning from other sources including colleagues and the sheer experience of being in the educational system†. In my own personal experience it was how the subject was presented that determined the extent of my learning. I remember one day in science class my teacher was telling the class about clouds and tornadoes and to be honest I really wasn’t paying attention until he said today we are going to make OUR own tornadoes. It was from that time on that I learned that I learn best by hands on experiences and examples. My teacher was effective in his teaching but he reached more of his class because he knew that some of us would do better by being shown the lesson. According to Bloom’s Taxonomy (1956), there are three domains in the learning process: cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The cognitive domain involves the knowledge and development of intellectual skills. The affective domain is concerned with growth in feeling or emotional area. The psychomotor domain involved manual or physical skills. An educated person must show mastery in each of these categories. Therefore, to me teaching is the passing of knowledge to students (cognitive) to help them better themselves thru motivation and learning (affective) so that they may improve the future. J. S Atherton (2011) also wrote that â€Å"learning is about change in behavior. † Does this mean that when we know better we automatically do better? Does this change come from learning or teaching? In summation teaching should encourage questions on what is being taught, it should encourage students to think outside the box and it should peak the interest of those who are learning. In the early 1930's around 5 million Germans were unemployed, in the public's opinion the Weimar republic was to blame. The majority of the public believed that Germany had not lost the war but in fact were winning it before they were â€Å"stabbed in the back† by the â€Å"November Criminals,† the politicians who signed the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles had been criticised for causing the continual economic depression in Germany Before 1929, the majority of the German public were content with their democratic government, and did not have these views; this was when Germany was enjoying a period of relative economic prosperity, fuelled by loans from the United States. The period quickly ended with the Wall Street crash, which was a huge blow to Germany. America recalled all the loans that had helped to rebuild Germany's economy, which in addition to Germany's existing unemployment problems caused the operation of German industry to cease increasing unemployment even further. In addition, Germany's trading relations with America were severely damaged. Without the American market, the number of exports from Germany decreased dramatically. As in the depression of 1923, the Weimar Republic was held responsible, people became angry, and the â€Å"stab in the back† theory, which was a popular idea during the 1923 depression, returned. The German public had completely lost faith in their democratic government. Germans began to turn to more extreme parties such as the communists and the Nazis. Statistics showed that as unemployment went up, support for the Nazi's grew. In 1928, there were 1. million people unemployed; the figure had risen to 6 million by 1932, the year of the enabling act. The public's growing support for the Nazi party was further strengthened by the death of Gustav Stresemann who died on the 3rd of October 1929; Stresemann was considered one of Germany's most able politicians, well known for bringing Germany out of depression. This death was of huge benefit to the Nazis as, before the event, the successes of Stresemann's policies had prevented them from gaining popularity, because the policies had always been successful in reducing unemployment, and other economic problems. Stresemann's death meant, in the eyes of the public, that the Weimar Republic was now incapable of bringing Germany out of depression. After this event, the German's support for extreme parties, including the Nazis grew even further. It was not only the unemployed who were attracted to the Nazi party because of this, but also people suffering from the increasing worry of job losses, caused by the depression. If it had not been for the Wall Street crash and Stresemann's death, the German public would have been content with the Weimar Republic, and would have not have supported the Nazi's. Once Hitler had gained popularity, he would not have been able to become chancellor without the help of Franz Von Papen, the existing chancellor in 1932. Von Papen felt that a connection with Hitler and the Nazi party would help him gain support for his own party. In December 1932, President Hindenburg made General Schleicher chancellor of Germany. Von Papen wanted a return to power so he struck a deal with the Nazis. The agreement was that Hitler would be given complete unconditional control of Germany. A constitutional change this great needed ? majority vote. The Nazi private army surrounded the Kroll opera house where the voting took place shouting, â€Å"we want the bill or fire or murder† and communist mps were not allowed into the building. After five years, Hitler used his power to extend it. It is argued however that this was just a natural succession from Hitler becoming popular after the depression and not a reason for him coming into power in itself.

Thus, they must obtain new and advanced strategies (Nguyen 2015). Products take different forms while it is launched in the competitive marketplace (Srinivasan 2014). Place: The term place in the 7p marketing mix defines the source of the manufacture of the declining products (Putra and Harijanto 2015). The Company produces its products for the sake of the customers need. Therefore, the availability is paramount for any of them (Metzger 2014). It is the third most crucial element in 4p marketing mix model designing. This term is related to the anytime anywhere services offered by an organization. It is essential that the pastries and bakery products should be available in South East Asia (Norris 1992). The manager of the company is bound to make the profit from the southeastern zonal region (Kalish, Mahajan and Muller 1995). Therefore, they must open some more outlets over there so that the consumers belonging to that section will be able to avail the products whenever the need. Apart from this, the convenient profit can also be made if the service is found to be user-friendly. Again BreadTalk can also offer franchises to the nearby southeastern z one (Javaid 2014). If it is restricted to the company to sell its products directly to the consumers then, they can take the help of third-party selling team. If the company provides the facility of third party retailer holds, then it will be beneficial to the consumers and to the company itself.
